This Christmas we planted two Neem trees with Treedom, defined by the United Nations as “the trees of the 21st century”. This is a splendid species native to India and Burma, capable of fighting desertification and known by Sanskrit-speaking peoples since the 4th century BC for its medicinal properties.
Neem is a special tree because it is able to provide more oxygen than other trees and for this reason we have chosen it as a symbol of hope, strength and determination necessary to take care of and protect the future of the Earth, our common home.
